DRAK  UNBREAKABLE 22.02.10 album out NOW...

Brazillian Rocker Davi Drak(DRAK) formerly associated with bands such as AvvA, Aerosmith and Motley Crue has released his new studio album entitled 'Unbreakable' available to buy from 22/02/2010. I have been working closely with him on this project and produced all illustrations and design for the CD and promo items. Check it out below...

Feb 2010: SELF book available to buy now...

Ovenden Contemporary have released the fine art book, entitled SELF. This has finally been published, please visit their website to find out how to purchase your copy. This is particularly exciting for me as my 'Unbreakable Heart Pt2' was selected for the book. Thank you to Ovenden Contemporary for allowing me to be part of this amazing exhibition and fine art publication. It has been a pleasure.

New artwork revealed; THE CANDY FLOSS LADY...

I have finally finished work on my biggest art series of 2009, it is a personal project that I have been wanting to complete for a number of years. The idea came from poetry I wrote when I was still a student at University. I am really excited about this project and it has turned into one of my favourites so far! Look out for it displayed here later this week!

 Sept. 2009: Coming this autumn...

I have been busy at work creating a set of unique and original illustrations that will be displayed in shop windows all around Merseyway Shopping Centre, Stockport. The artwork is now finished and the final works will be displayed all around the shopping centre this Autumn, so if you are in the Greater Manchester region, please go and see how they look, some will be around 7foot tall, and feature a host of new characters that I created specially for the shopping centre. June 2009: New art series revealed; 

CLOUDWALKERS: JOURNEY PAST THE SKY
I have finished a
3 piece set of work, which is a follow up to my 'Journey of the Cloudwalker' series from 2007. I have always wanted
to do more with this series and I already have more ideas for even more work.

But I have uploaded the new work onto my mixed media page, hopefully I will exhibit it sometime soon, I would
love for you to see it in a proper space, and bigger size. Also thank you to everyone who continues to email me
about my art, I love to hear from you and am glad you have taken such a positive interest in what I do.
It is very heartwarming.

CUBE GALLERY LAUNCHES 'CAPTURE MANCHESTER ART BOOK' featuring Matrokk's piece from the exhibition

The book is currently on sale now, available at the book shop inside the Cube Gallery for around £15. This will be a limited edition, and I am proud to have contributed work to it. My piece is called "The Manchester Masquerade" in the book. Please check it out if you get the chance!

New Illustrations: The MATROKK DOLLS... 

Just to let all of you interested in my illustrations, that I will be updating my illustration page very soon.
I have been very hard at work on one of the best illustration projects/ commissions that I have done so far,
and these illustrations are going to be published in a very special place in Merseyway Shopping Centre! More news on this soon.
But so far I am super pleased with how they look and should appeal to adults and children alike!

MATROKK: THE EXHIBITION (solo)

September 2008, Merseyway...

This was my first solo exhibition in a major location, over 450 attended in the first 3 days of the exhibition opening! Thank you to everyone who attended and to Merseyway for the amazing location, it was a huge highlight of my art career so far!

Thank you to Rebecca Taberner and Arnold Wilcox-Wood for making the exhibition happen. And a big thank you to David Field for helping to put up my work and making the location and space look so great for the exhibition!
